Capital Campaign

All donations made from our website will go toward paying off our mortgage. To

encourage donations, we have partnered with Initial Inspiration, located across the

street from the museum at 412 W. Main Street, to offer the following discounts on

museum-related merchandise, such as caps, shirts, train whistles, Christmas ornaments

 $50 to $99 donation – $10 voucher off any item(s)

 $100 to $149 donation - $15 voucher

 $150 and above - $20 voucher

Thanks to the generosity of the Virginia Scenic Railway, we are also holding a drawing

for a pair of Dining Class tickets (value $272) to anyone donating $20 or more:

 To enter make a minimum donation of $20.

 For additional chances to win donate an additional $20, i.e. two

chances for $40, and so on.

 Tickets are good for either Staunton route: the Alleghany Special or

the Blue Ridge Flyer.

The drawing begins Friday, September 11 through Saturday,

November 28.

Thank you for your interest in supporting the Augusta County Railroad Museum!

The Augusta County Railroad Museum is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) tax-

exemption organization. For over 30 years all locations and special

appearances have been free – making our model trains and railroad

education free – including entrance to our new museum. Nearly two years

ago we purchased the building, and we have been working very hard to pay

it off so we can remain free in our new permanent location. We have

approximately 90 percent of the purchase paid of, but we need to pay off

the remaining balance. Our goal for the Capital Campaign is $40,000, and

your donation will help us reach this goal! All amounts are welcome!
